The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services approached Ghost to help them create an integrated campaign that spreads the word, educates the public and provides clear steps to help curb substance use disorder and seek treatment. Avoiding shame was crucial to our strategy. Our campaign had to express urgency but not cast people facing substance use disorder as bad, self-destructive or to be pitied.
